02/12/1969 056 Amending Ordinance No. 30 of the Town of Sewall’s Point, Florida, As Amended, Entitled, “An Ordinance of the Town of Sewall’s Point, Florida, to Promote the Health, Safety, Morals and General Welfare of the Inhabitants of the Town of Sewall’s Point, Florida; To Regulate and Restrict the Height and Size of Buildings and Other Structures, the Percentage of Lot that May be Occupied, the Size of Yards, and Other Open Spaces, of Buildings, Structures and Land and Water for Residence and Other Purposes; To Divide the Town into Districts of Such Number, Shape and Area as May be Best Suited to Carry Out These Regulations and Amendments; to Provide for its Enforcement; to Provide for Special Exceptions in the Event of Hardship; and to Provide Penalties for the Violation Hereof:” (1) By Providing That Paragraph 7, Section VII Will be Amended to Provide That No Structure Shall be Erected or Constructed Over the Waters of the St. Lucie River or the Indian River, Except Docks, Piers, Boathouses and Yacht Clubs and the Buildings of Said Dock, Pier, Boathouse or Yacht Club Shall Only be Built Out From a Residential Lot, and the Dock, Pier or Boathouse Shall Only be Used by the Owner, his Family and Guests; (2) By Providing That Paragraph “G”, Section V, Be Amended to Provide That the Minimum Enclosed Living Floor Space with Walls Shall be 1500 Square Feet, Open Porch, Terrace, Patios, Courts, Breezeways, Carports or Garages Not Included
02/12/1969 057 Regulating the Mooring of Vessels, Boats and Other Water-Craft in the Waters of the Town of Sewall’s Point; Providing That Water-Craft Shall Not be Used so as to Become a Menace to Navigation; That the Zoning Regulations of the Town Cannot be Violated by the Use of a Boat; Providing That Certain Uses of the Boat Cannot be Made; Providing That Vacant Lots Adjacent to Where a Boat is Docked Cannot be Used for Cooking, Washing of Clothes, Etc.; Providing There Should be No Unsightly Boats or Vessels or Water-Craft of Any Kind Moored Within Any Place Within the Town; Providing That it is Unlawful to Live on Boats in Dead End Canals or Waterways; Providing That No One Can Live Upon a Boat During the Construction of Their Home; Providing That There Shall be No Overhaul or Repair of Boats That are Docked or Moored in Front of Residential Areas; That No Boats or Water-Craft Shall Cause Any Undue Noise; That No Washing of Clothing or Wearing Apparel Shall be Hung From the Boat; That All Sanitary Regulations of the Town, Martin County and the State of Florida Shall be maintained at All Times with Reference to Any Boat That is Moored Within the Town Limits of the Town; Prohibiting the Indiscrimate Use of Such Lights, Horns and Whistles; Providing That Water-Craft Shall Not be Operated Recklessly and That Proper Speed at All Times Should be Maintained; and Providing That it Shall be Unlawful for Any Person to Abandon Any Boat or Water-Craft in the Public Waters Within the Limits of the Town
