Lakisha Burch began her service as Town Clerk in September of 2014.  Ms. Burch has a Master’s Degree in Leadership from Palm Beach Atlantic University and is a Certified Municipal Clerk. She brings a wide variety of experience to Town Hall, having served as a Human Resources Director, Deputy City Clerk and Accounting Clerk in Palm Beach County municipalities.  She can be reached at 772-287-2455 ext. 14 or lburch@sewallspoint.org.

The Town Clerk has many important responsibilities, including maintenance of all Town records and minutes of all decisions of the Town Commission.  She is responsible for the codification of all Town Ordinances and for all legal advertising. Under the supervision of the Town Manager, Ms. Burch oversees the payment of all bills and processes the bi-weekly payroll.  The Town Clerk also acts as elections supervisor for all Town Elections and is the liaison to the Martin County Supervisor of Elections Office. The Town Clerk provides highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Town Manager and Town Commission.
