MJ Dowling came forward and announced the upcoming Martin Artist Tour Guild this Saturday and Sunday in Sewall’s Point.
Kevin Powers, President of Martin County Tax Payers Association came forward and provided information to the Commission and public, he invited the Commission to their annual dinner on January 29, 2020, additional information is on their web site at: www.mctaxpayers.org. He noted that Martin County Tax Payers Association has been in existence for 70 years.

1. Introduction of Priorities for Strategic Planning
a. Commissioner Input – Begin Identifying Common Grounds Mayor
Public Comments were heard at this time:
Joe Joyce Came forward and expressed concern over unmarked trucks in Sewall’s Point and suggested the Town regulate who comes and goes.
2. Guest Speakers (Context for Priorities) Limit 5 mins. each Town Manager
a. Martin County Health Department – Todd Reinhold, Manager Environmental Health came forward and gave a brief overview of the environmental impact of septic tanks, and the process of decommissioning.
b. SELF – Doug Coward
Executive Director Doug Coward came forward and introduced the program SELF allowing homeowners to apply for loans for assistance in the Septic to Sewer project as well as other energy improvements.
c. Florida City Gas – Marc Seagrave
Marc Seagrave came forward and gave a brief overview of bringing natural gas lines in the Town of Sewall’s Point.
d. CAP Government – Judson Dulaney
Judson Dulaney came forward and gave a brief overview of CAP Government and the services they offer.
3. Updates on Major Projects – Joe Capra Town Manager
Joe Capra gave a brief overview on the Towns Major Projects.
a. NSP – Septic to Sewer Conversion
Joe Capra gave a brief update on the NSP Septic to Sewer project.
b. SSP Phase 1
Joe Capra gave a brief update on the SSP Phase 1 project.
c. Highpoint Water Main Replacement
Joe Capra gave a brief update on the Highpoint Water Main Project.
4. Workshop & Meeting Format Mayor
The Commission agreed to continue workshops the second Tuesday of each month.
