Present: Vice Mayor Frank Fender, Mayor Vinny Barile, Commissioner James W. Campo, Commissioner Dave Kurzman, Town Manager Pamela M. Walker (Not voting), Town Attorney Glen Torcivia (Not voting).

  7:01 PM  PROCLAMATIONS AND CEREMONIAL MATTERS

 

4.Proclamation of Children’s Week

 

Pat Houston, Director of Programs, Early Learning Coalition, came forward and graciously accepted the Proclamation and thanked the Town for recognizing Children’s Week. 

  7:03 PM Motion: Proclamation , Action: Approve, Moved by Vice Mayor Frank Fender, Seconded by Commissioner Dave Kurzman.

Motion passed unanimously.

DISCUSSION

 

  7:04 PM  5.Martin County Utilities Director (Sewer Conversion) Commission approval

 

Sam Amerson, Martin County Public Works Director gave a brief presentation to the Commission and Public about the Connect to Protect Sewer Connection program. He highlighted the program, types of sewer systems and financial information.

 

After Commissioners  offered comments the following members of the public came forward and offered public comment:

Town Manager Walker recommended seeking input from potential participants to see how many people want to sign up and prioritize the funding for those who wants to hook up.

 

She recommended design and cost analysis design for all town properties.  

  8:28 PM Motion: staff recommendation. 3/1 Barile No , Action: Approve, Moved by Commissioner James W. Campo, Seconded by Vice Mayor Frank Fender.

 

 

  8:29 PM  6. Budget Amendment for Professional Fees                                             Mayor

 

Commissioner Campo requested the item be continued.

  8:35 PM Motion: Table the item to the next meeting. , Action: Approve, Moved by Commissioner James W. Campo, Seconded by Vice Mayor Frank Fender.

Motion passed unanimously.

 

  8:35 PM  7.Resolution No. 871 support of House Bill 1369 Relating to the Florida Climate and Resiliency Research Program.

 

  8:36 PM   8:36 PM Motion: Res 871, Action: Approve, Moved by Vice Mayor Frank Fender, Seconded by Commissioner Dave Kurzman.
