  8:01 PM Roll Call.

Present: Vice Mayor Frank Fender, Mayor Vinny Barile, Commissioner James W. Campo, Commissioner Dave Kurzman, Town Manager Pamela M. Walker (Not voting), Town Attorney Glen Torcivia (Not voting).

  8:01 PM  Additions, Deletions or Changes to the Agenda

 

  8:01 PM Motion: Agenda , Action: Approve, Moved by Commissioner James W. Campo, Seconded by Vice Mayor Frank Fender.

Motion passed unanimously.

 

  8:02 PM  PUBLIC COMMENT ON ALL MATTERS, INCLUDING AGENDA AND NON-AGENDA ITEMS

 

AGENDA

 

  8:02 PM  1. Permission to seek additional grant funds for South Sewall’s Point Road Phase I Commission

 

Town Manager Walker requested the Commission consider applying for additional grant funds without matching funds from the Town. She also presented the proposed cost in applying for the grant as well as construction cost. 

 

Joe Capra came forward and recommended applying for the additional grants funds. He gave a brief overview of the grant application process and cost.

 

After Commission comments the following motion was made:

 

  8:25 PM Motion: Approve the staff recommendation to apply for additional grants funds, Action: Approve, Moved by Vice Mayor Frank Fender, Seconded by Commissioner Dave Kurzman.

Motion passed unanimously.

 

  8:26 PM  2. Town Manager Recruitment Commission

 

The following persons came forward and offered public comment:

 

Kathy Miscoski

 

Kurt Bressner, ICMA-CM Senior Advisor came forward and outlined the Town Manager Recruitment Process. He asked for direction as to the following items:

The Commission discussed the following items:

 

1.  Position Advertisement (Attached w/ recommendations on where to advertise)

 

2. Position Profile (Draft attached)

 

3. Search Timeline (To be discussed)

 

4. Application form at (digital only or will paper be accepted?) and receipt and acknowledgement procedures for candidates along with deadline to close applications.(To be discussed)

 

5. Procedure for Town Commission and Senior Advisors to receive the application packets.

 

6. Preliminary decision on background checks for finalist candidate’s scope and obtaining price quotes.

 

7. Discussion of travel reimbursement for candidates being interviewed.

 

The Commission discussed the items in detail and direction to the staff and Senior Advisor Bressner to proceed with their recommendations that were discussed on the record.
