Responsibilities
- Hear and make decisions regarding civil citations
- Impose fines not to exceed $250.00 per day for first violations, not to exceed $500.00 per day for repeat violations, and not to exceed $5,000.00 for violations found by the board to be irreparable or irreversible by nature
- Subpoena alleged code violators and witnesses to its hearings
Information
- Hearings are held on the second Wednesday of the month at 10:00 a.m.
- Consists of five full-time members and five alternate members
- Each Town Commissioner nominates one full-time member and one alternate member
- A special magistrate may been appointed by the Town Commission and will have all the powers and authority of the code enforcement board
